Wedding photo booths

A lot of people talk about having a photo booth at their wedding and then when it comes down to it it’s that extra expense you don’t really need and so it doesn’t happen.

My husband and I had a photo booth at our wedding and have been to a fair few others who also hired one and it is well worth the money!

If your budget will stretch then go for it, people love them! Our’s was a huge hit with our guests. You usually pay by the hour so it’s up to you how long you have it for and how much you spend. Most provide their own props but you can easily and cheaply find/ make your own.

We loved looking through our photo booth album and people were able to write messages in the book next to their photo which made for some very funny reading… Not the usual guest book phrases.

And what’s nice is after the wedding going round other people’s houses  and seeing a picture on their fridge from your wedding.

Misdemeanour #2

I love shoes, I truly believe a girl can never have too many, (like bags, lipstick, nail polish, jewellery) Finn however thinks differently…something he perhaps learnt from my husband…

Or maybe not, maybe it was his love for shoes that drove him to undertake misdemeanour number two.

I recently purchased a pair of gold topshop sandles that are the perfect party shoe, super high, barely there and great value for money.

I came home from work to find said shoes in Finns bed… chewed. It seems his aim was to bite all of the gold off the heel. Tiny teeth marks everywhere, shoes now ruined.

Maybe he mistook them for one of his chewey bones, they are quite similar I suppose. Or maybe he is the naughty dog deep down we all know he is but due to his immense cuteness think of a multiple of excuses for his ‘cheeky behaviour’.

I have no idea how he managed to get hold of them and get them out the box and into his bed but he did and now they are no more.

From now on all shoes must stay out of pups reach. Maybe another visit to topshop is due…

Coworth Park

Coworth Park in Ascot is a truly luxury hotel…

Not only for the horse crowd this charming hotel has all the comforts you would expect, huge four poster bed, spa, acres of land and awesome cocktails, plus the comfiest hotel slippers I have ever experienced.

Our delightful room was in the mansion house, beautifully decorated with a freestanding copper bath to die for!

Impeccable service, quiet grounds and little design touches most hotels forget about this is a highly recommended stay.

Tip, restaurants are popular so book in advance.

Misdemeanour #1

#1Stealing Sweets

Finny is my 9 month old French bulldog. He has always had a mischievous streak- when he was a wee puppy he got up to all sorts but we thought he was finally mellowing. We thought wrong.

I am a true sweet lover, sweets are one of my many vices and i always have a bowl or jar of sweeties around the house. We happened to have some leftover raspberry bonbons from our wedding so a large glass bowl was placed on the dining room table as a new centerpiece.

Finny being a frenchie and a young one at that is a relatively small dog, dining tables are way out of reach for such a pup so this was deemed a relatively safe place to leave them and not an unusual act.

Somehow this tiny little piggy managed to climb onto the table and eat the entire bowl of bonbons, blue slime was found all over the table and my laptop.  An entire bowl- gone. He loves his food but this was a new low even for him.

Sweets may longer be a part of my household…..

I Do

Your wedding day… The most perfect day of your life. Two years spent planning and its over in a flash.

As a newlywed I can honestly say my wedding day was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I loved every second of it and it was perfect. Exactly what I had hoped and dreamed of.

Everyone worked really hard and it all came together beautifully. The flowers, the food, the ceremony, the music- the lot.

Mykonian magic

As the nights draw in and the weather chills I start to dream about days spent  lounging in the sun and frolicking in the crystal clear waters of Mykonos…

Enjoying gloriously relaxing days with clear blue skies and evenings spent eating and drinking it really is the perfect destination.

Designer shops, amazing fresh food and great wine not to mention the frozen yoghurt this tiny isle has it all.

Two weeks at the Mykonos grand is a pricey trip but with the amazing attention to detail, afternoon ice cream runs and one of the best Greek salads I have ever eaten it is well worth every penny.
